Adding Veggies to Spaghetti and Meat?

Heres what I do, I get 2 large carrots, 2 stalks of celery, 1 small zuchinni, 1 bell pepper, medium red onion,and mushrooms and I chop them up in my food processor til fine but still chunky enough to give the sauce some texture. I saute them in a couple tablespoons of a very good quality olive oil, add 2 cloves of crushed garlic and when soft but not completely mush I add them to the sauce. I do this for my meatloaf and meatball recipes too. Add the extra veg in and the kids dont have a clue. For the type of sauce you have I would think that all would work depending on the amounts used. Go stronger on the carrot, celery, onion and bell pepper as when they cook they give more flavor for a richer sauce. Also add in some Tomato paste that can bump up the flavor too.
