Would a boy like it if a girl started talking about football?

Okk..i have never spoke to this boy that like and im planning to so do boys like it when a girl starts talking about footy...for americans i think its soccer...but do you think a boy would think its weird for a girl to chat about that...and i know what team he supports so i know what to chat about...what do you all think??
